Today, Sunday, Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman<\/span>, Acting President of Aswan University, witnesses the activities of a welcoming ceremony for new students for the academic year 2022\/2021, which is organized by the Faculty of Physical Education, in the presence of Dr. Adel Makki<\/span>, Dean of the Faculty, academic staff and their assistants, faculty students and success partners from the external sports community, Major General Ahmed Soliman<\/span> Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan Sports Club and Salma Monzili<\/span>– Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Rowing Club, Engineer Adham Dahab<\/span>, Head of the Swimming Area for the Upper South , Hani Rushdi<\/span>, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yasser Murakap<\/span>, the tourist expert on Heissa Island, Captain Nabil Abdel Shakour<\/span>, President of the Shams Club, and Hakim Abdo Hassaballah<\/span>, the tourist expert in West Sohail and Captain Naguib Makin<\/span>, the tourism expert, a number of leaders of the civil society, tourism and sports in Aswan, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Sadiq<\/span>, Coordinator of the ”Students for Egypt” Group, and Youssef Mohamed Abd, Coordinator of student activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ayman Othman, Acting President of Aswan University, stressed during his speech the importance of the role of sport in the lives of students and praised the university\u2019s sports facilities, which help to host many sports activities and events. As well as Aswan University bore on its shoulder implementing and activating the initiative of ”Sports is A National Security”<\/span> through the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to activate sports activities inside universities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative’s activities have been launched since, the last academic year, October 17, 2020, under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities, through the Faculty of Physical Education in cooperation with the Central Administration for Youth Welfare, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Mohamed Hassanein, Vice President of the Universities Sports Federation, Dr. Hisham El-Gyoshi, Secretary of the Federation, and a group of Aswan University academic staff at the Faculty of Physical Education and university employees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ayman Othman<\/span> added that one of the most important factors for the success of the \u201cSports is a National Security\u201d<\/span> initiative is the boom in sports facilities that the university will witness, including multi-purpose sports stadiums, and the university’s sports stadium, which can accommodate 2,000 spectators. The gym complex is underway to serve students and the outside community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ayman Othman<\/span>, Acting President of the University, explained that the university will witness a boom in sports facilities that can be used to develop students’ training and skill capabilities and for all university students, not only students of the Faculty of Physical Education, in accordance with the saying of a healthy mind in a healthy body, and we are working to build students educationally and work to develop their creative abilities through student activities, which serve as an opportunity to create a spirit of sports competition among university students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ayman Othman<\/span> urged students to obtain the Coronavirus vaccine, in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities, to prevent students who did not receive the Corona vaccine from entering the exams of the first semester of the current academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Adel Makki<\/span>, Dean of the Faculty, indicated that the aim of the initiative is to promote sports to become a way of life, which includes many activities, including cycling, swimming games, running, walking, fitness and other common games, in order to refine sports talents of students and to graduate a physically, athletically, intellectually and socially healthy generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Adel Makki<\/span> explained that Dr. Ayman Othman, Acting President of the University, supports sports activities and the Faculty of Education through sports stadiums and sports facilities. Pointing to the importance of the educational and sports programs offered by the Faculty of Physical Education, Aswan University, at the level of 27 faculties of Physical Education at the level of Egyptian universities, with the aim of graduating a new generation and a sports product capable of competing in the labor market.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education presented the Faculty’s shield to Dr. Ayman Othman<\/span> in appreciation of his continuous and unlimited support to the Faculty of Physical Education and student activities.
