Aswan University Prepares to Receive the New Academic Year 2021/2022

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Acting President of Aswan University, stated that Aswan University has prepared to receive the new academic year (2021-2022) in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities, which is scheduled to start (10/2021) and the university has implemented Its plan for study preparations is in full swing in terms of maintaining university cities and lecture halls, carrying out spraying and sterilization work, and emphasizing the application of strict precautionary measures to prevent the Coronavirus “Covid 19”, as the university carried out the vaccination campaign that it started since the first of last September, which is aimed at reaching (37) A thousand and a half to all university employees with the Coronavirus vaccine, including new and old students, workers, faculty members, and their assistants.

Osman added that the study is on schedule (October 9), in addition to housing male and female students in university cities and linking classrooms, students, and academic staff to the electronic platforms that have been developed and linked to the university’s information center.

His Excellency stressed that the university has completed all the preparations for the new academic year (2021-2022), whether by comprehensive maintenance of university facilities such as installation, finishes, and paints, periodic sterilization and disinfection, and the renewal of living rooms for students in various buildings and cities.
He also explained that the plan of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding the periodic vaccination of all medical staff is currently being implemented.

And that the colleges began announcing the academic schedules for the new academic year in implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council of Universities headed by Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressing that the university has achieved advanced rates in the vaccination operations of students and faculty members in the first stage of vaccination.

And that the study will be by attendance at various faculties “face to face”, and faculties are given the freedom to use distance education as an additional educational method for them.
