Prof. Ahmed Gallab Mohamed-Aswan University President stated that the sporting day for walking for female students in the university within the presidential initiative” Sports is A National Security” that is launched under the auspiece of the President/Abdul Fattah Al Sisi-President of the Republic.
On Sunday morning the events of the sporting day launched in front of the administrative building of the university in Sahary campus in line with applying all precautionary measures to face the emerging coronavirus in the attendance of Dr. Adel Makky-Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab confirmed that the initiative at Aswan University witnessed its 5th week since the beginning of the academic year under the patronage of ”Sports is A National Security” and works on carrying out the initiative of ”Our Health in Our Sports”; Aswan University launched Marathon walking for female students.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added that the university’s stadium was prepared on the highest level and with a capacity of 2000 spectators of the audience and including a VIP hall, administrative offices, and dressing rooms, as well as all student activities and balling competitions are held on it, also it’s completed from several of multi-purpose playgrounds (basketball-volleyball-beach ball-hand ball).
At the present time, the university has the ability to host students festival, sporting courses, and the university championships that are held in the context of student activities over the academic year 2020/2021 according to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Supreme Council of Universities.
