Sports tourism has become the most appealing tourist trend in the world for investors and tourists, while also gaining prominence due to its significant role in supporting national economies by creating job opportunities and offering intangible advantages.
Tourism promotion, public and media propaganda for tourism acquisitions, and sports and international championships for swimming, kayaking, rowing, sailing, fishing, and horse racing (camel) demonstrate the organizing countries’ ability to capitalize on sporting events for the growth and development of domestic and foreign tourism.
Egypt is one of the countries with significant riches in terms of expanding this profitable sector and reducing its reliance on fuel as a source of financing for its economy.
In this regard, Aswan University and the Faculty of Physical Science are collaborating to hold the International Forum for Sport Tourism Aswan (prospects and aspirations) from March 18-20, 2021.
