As part of the Faculty of Sports Sciences’ role at Aswan University in serving the community and supporting environmental affairs—and in line with the implementation of the Physical Fitness Project for Higher and Intermediate Institutes—a lecture entitled “Physical Fitness, Public Health, and Safety Measures During Sports Activities” was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Institute of Social Service (Intermediate and Higher levels).
All institutes in Aswan participated in the event, which came within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Higher Education.
The lecture was delivered upon the invitation of the Central Administration for Student Services at the Ministry of Higher Education by Prof. Refaat Abdel Latif, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Community Service and Environmental Development at Aswan University.
The lecture highlighted the importance of physical fitness and public health, and also reviewed essential safety measures that must be followed when practicing sports activities to ensure student safety and minimize the risk of sports injuries.
