Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ gave the go-ahead of the Marathon which organized by Aswan University and that in frame of the fourth day of African Youth week,
With participation of students from 40 Egyptian and African University, The competition began from High dam Friendship symbol Up to 5 km of Aswan University headquarter in Sahary, but female students competition began from Ice Factory at High Dam Up to 3 km of Aswan University headquarter, in attendance of Dr/ Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Baset _ General coordinator of African Youth week and agroup of Staff members.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the race comes within series of sporting events organized by the university during the African University week and it include also:
(Football – Volleyball – Beach Ball – Swimming – Table Tennis and etc.)
He pointed out that these sports activities aim to discover new sporting talents and support different clubs and teams, In addition to encouraging students to practice various sports.
